Guest arrival plan

Help first-time guests find their way

Carry the same colors and flag shape from the driveway to the front door. Guests will recognize the route before they have time to feel lost.

  1. 01

    At the driveway

Keep it simple: “Welcome” or “Enter Here” is enough.

  2. 02

    Through the parking area

Use the same look again, with “Guest Parking” wherever the route could be unclear.

  3. 03

    At the building entrance

Finish with “Guest Check-In” or “New Here? Start Here” beside a staffed welcome point.

Check every directional arrow from the approach where guests will see it.

The selected base is included in each total. Double-sided printing and cross-base prices vary by flag shape and height. Rectangle flags come in a different height range.

Visibility check

How far away should guests notice it?

Choose how far away guests will be, and see which rectangle flag has enough presence for that spot.

Across the parking lot

14 ft recommended

The 14 ft flag is easier to spot across an open parking lot.

Keep the message to
A large logo or 2–4 large words

This is a planning guide, not a promise that every message will be readable at that distance. Large lettering, strong contrast and a clear view all help.

Flag base options

Ground stakes and cross bases

Putting it in grass? Choose the ground stake. For pavement or indoor floors, choose the cross base with a water bag.

Replacing hardware separately? Match it to your flag system and size. The cross-base option on the flag product page includes a water bag; the cross base sold separately does not list one. Replacement hardware ↗

Artwork for your flag choices

Download the right file before designing

Each shape has small, medium and large templates, with separate files for single- and double-sided printing. Keep text inside the safety line and clear of the pole sleeve. A teardrop’s taper needs a different layout from a rectangle.

Preparing artwork? AI, EPS, SVG or PDF is preferred. For raster artwork, use 150 dpi at full size. Read the artwork requirements ↗

Common questions

How many flags should we use between the road and the entrance?

Place a flag where the route begins and anywhere a driver must choose a direction. For example, one driveway, one parking turn and one entrance call for at least three flags. Add another when the next turn or destination is hidden from view.

Does a taller flag make a long message readable from farther away?

A taller flag is easier to notice. Small copy still disappears at a distance. Use a logo and one short message; at parking-lot distance, two to four large words are a practical limit.

Will the message read correctly from both directions?

Single-sided flag artwork shows through in reverse on the back. Choose double-sided printing when guests must read the wording correctly while approaching from either direction.

Which base belongs on grass or pavement?

Use the ground-stake kit in suitable grass, sand or soil. Use the cross-base and water-bag kit on pavement or indoor floors. The flag price includes the base kit shown above.
