We often have customers with rush orders right before their trade shows and events. Here are a few tips we’ve recommended to help them save time and money – so they are prepared in advance for their next trade show. Each of these suggestions is based on the idea you’ll be purchasing some awesome new branded displays.

Our first suggestion is to plan an event calendar. Determine the date of your next trade show, and look at all the critical dates leading up to it. These include set-up dates, the time it takes to ship your displays, production time of any new event items, and any time needed to prepare the artwork for those new displays.

Our second tip is to confirm your artwork is suitable for print. There’s a lot of detail that goes into this, but our best recommendation is to make sure your artwork is in vector format – this is so it can be re-sized and not pixelate or blur. It will also save you money on potential artwork or design charges. You’ll also want to make sure you approve a digital proof prior to production – this will help to prevent any issues with art, spelling, or placement.

Confirming production time is critical. Depending on the display and the vendor, this can vary from a few days to a few weeks. Check out your vendor’s website and make sure the production time is listed in your sales confirmation.

This last tip can save you a lot of money. By utilizing your event calendar, you can make sure to avoid expedited shipping costs by shipping Ground. If shipping with a main carrier such as UPS or FedEx, be safe and plan on 5 business days in transit, which is how long it takes from coast to coast within the U.S. You can also consider shipping your displays directly to the event, unless you’d like to set-up everything in advance. This is a great way to save on time at the event.
