Hi, Emily here with MVP Visuals – your go to for custom branded displays. We often receive the question, “what can I do to make my custom tent last longer?” The most common accessory options that add lifespan to your tent are weight bags and roller bags.
Weight bags are filled with sand and then attached to the legs of the frame with Velcro straps. They can add up to forty pounds of weight to each leg and are critical to keeping your tent secure on any outdoor surface. This is especially important if you are leaving the tent up overnight or you’re in an area that can experience wind or rain.
A second way to protect your custom tent is with the purchase of a roller bag. A roller bag is an efficient way to safely store and travel with your tent. Some steel frames weigh as much as sixty pounds, so it’s a great idea to buy a case that allows one person to move the tent to and from your event space.Another important tip to increase the lifespan of your tent is to make sure your canopy top is dry before take down and storage – this prevents mold and staining.
You also want to make sure to ask about the manufacturer’s warranty. What is covered in the warranty? How long does the warranty last? Are replacement parts available if something breaks that isn’t covered in the warranty? These are essential questions to ask prior to purchasing your custom tent.
